Tim Karsky is the Commissioner of the North Dakota Department of Financial Institutions. The agency oversees the state’s state-chartered banks and credit unions. It also supervises consumer finance companies, money brokers, collection agencies, and deferred presentment providers. North Dakota is developing an examination system so that we can better examine mortgage industry safety and soundness issues. The state is gearing up to gear up for the Loan Originator National Licensing Act for loan originators in January of 2010.”]
