Sony Breach Ignites Phishing Fears

Hackers are wising up, taking advantage of consumers’ apathy and corporations’ reluctance to better protect their customers’ data. Identity Theft Council: Consumers should be “very much on the defensive” Sony says it cannot rule out the possibility that credit card data may have been stolen. Sony is sending software update to gamers and asking them to change passwords once the PlayStation Network is restored. A lawsuit also has been filed against Sony alleging the gaming giant waited too long to notify its customers of a possible breach.”]
