Nashville-based SmileDirectClub says it experienced a systems outage caused by a cybersecurity incident on April 14. The company says it was “able to successfully block the attack” and that it paid no ransom. Despite insurance coverage, the incident may have a “material impact” on the company’s overall financial results for the second quarter.
