Russian Receives Record-Setting US Hacking Sentence

Roman Seleznev, aka “Track2,” sentenced to 27 years in prison for defrauding 3,700 financial institutions in U.S. He faces even more potential jail time via cases that remain underway in federal courts in Georgia and Nevada. The 32-year-old Russian hacker is the son of a Russian lawmaker who is a close ally of Vladimir Putin.
