RSA Conference Debates Apple vs. FBI

Microsoft’s Brad Smith: “The road to hell starts with a backdoor” Microsoft’s chief legal officer was speaking at the opening day of the RSA Conference 2016 in San Francisco. The 2015 A.M. Turing Award – widely considered to be the “Nobel Prize in Computing” – was awarded to the two men behind the Diffie-Hellman protocol. The award was publicly announced during the day’s “Cryptographers’ Panel,” featuring six leading cryptographers. U.S. Attorney General Loretta E.
