Researcher: Microsoft Edge Least Private of 6 Browsers

Microsoft Edge is one of the least private web browsers, according to a study by a security researcher in Ireland. The study found that Edge sends specific device identifiers, as well as URLs that users browsed, back to corporate servers. Researchers also found that Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and the Brave Bowser browsers also had security issues. A spokesperson for Microsoft says Edge allows users to adjust settings that might send data back to the company’s servers. The results of the study have prompted discussions at all six browsers to make changes to browser settings.”]
