Report: Equifax Subpoenaed by New York State Regulator

New York’s Department of Financial Services has reportedly subpoenaed Equifax in wake of massive breach. The subpoena demands additional details about the breach, including when the company discovered the intrusion and how it responded. New York became the first state to pass its own cybersecurity regulation covering the financial services sector, much of which took effect March 1. The breach is now the focus of a criminal investigation by the FBI.”]
