Princess Ransomware: Not So Pretty in Pink

Ransomware known as “PrincessLocker” demands a ransom of 0.0770 bitcoin – currently worth about $350 – in exchange for a promised decryption key. As is typical for many types of ransomware, if a victim doesn’t pay within a specified timeframe, the ransom demand doubles. The ransom amount represents a sharp decrease from the 3 bitcoins – worth more than $13,000 – that PrincessLocker was demanding last year.
