Police Data Leaked: A Sign of the Times?

269 GB of sensitive data leaked from more than 200 police departments and the FBI. The data was leaked last week by a group known as Distributed Denial of Secrets, or DDoSecrets. The group, like Wikileaks, publishes formerly secret data. The leak is a sign that law enforcement agencies are becoming a prime target for hackers, a security analyst says. The information came from a breach of a web-development company Netsential, which has many law enforcement customers, he says.”]
