Omni Hotels & Resorts Hit by Hacker

Omni Hotels & Resorts says hackers used point-of-sale malware to siphon off payment card data. The Dallas-based luxury hotel chain says it first learned of the data breach on May 30; it doesn’t say how. A hacker called JokerStash reportedly began selling more than 50,000 payment cards stolen from Omni in February. The company says there is no evidence other customer information, such as contact information, Social Security numbers or PINs, was affected by the attack.”]
