At least 50 ATMs in Eastern Europe, including Russia, infected with malware that enables them to drain ATMs of their cash via “jackpotting” attacks. The malware – variously referred to as PadPin and Tyupkin by anti-virus vendors – first surfaced in March 2014. Kaspersky Lab says the malware has spread to several other countries, including the U.S., India and China.
