Intel Fixes 2 High-Severity Vulnerabilities

Intel issues security advisory for two high-severity vulnerabilities in the BIOS – basic input/output system – reference code in Intel processors that may allow privilege escalation attacks. Intel products affected by the vulnerabilities include Intel processors, Dell and HP products. The vulnerabilities have a high CVSS v3 score of 8.2. Intel recommends that users update to the latest version of software offered by the system manufacturer to address the issues caused by the issues. The vulnerability affects Intel Atom E3900 series IoT processors, used by more than 30 car models, and can also affect Apollo Lake, Apollo Lake and Gemini Lake Refresh platforms.”]
