U.K.’s computer emergency response team, CERT-UK, has released its first annual report of malware infections in the UK. From April 2014 through March 2015, the organization says, it counted 2.6 million Zeus infections inside the country. Zeus is one of the most virulent families of malware, so it is heavily used by criminals. Officials expect another type of malware – Dridex – or Dyre – to come to the forefront in the coming year. The overall quantity of infections declined toward the end of 2014, but officials expect them to resurge soon.”]
