Radware’s Carl Herberger says recent DDoS attacks on banks are prime examples of the new age of ideological threats to organizations across all industries. Herberger: “Most modern-day information security programs have not properly measured the risks to their environments” He says the perpetrators have been getting around most of the protection sets that we have used and the assumptions of what an attack looks like. They do this through automated tools, which we frequently call bots, encrypt their attacks, and use what they call directed attacks. They’re combining these attacks so that you have to be able to detect all of them at the same time.”]
