House Probes Specifics of Colonial Ransomware Attack

Colonial Pipeline CEO Joseph Blount continues to answer questions about the company’s response to the May 7 attack. Lawmakers also pressed Blount about what this incident means for the security of the nation’s other critical infrastructure. Blount’s testimony before a House committee on Wednesday was the second time this week that the CEO has faced questions about his company’s handling of the attack. The FBI and Justice Department were able to claw back $2.3 million of the $4.4 million ransom Colonial Pipeline paid the attackers.”]
