Google Restricts Huawei’s Access to Android

U.S. Commerce Department blacklisted Huawei amid rising trade tensions. Google has stopped sharing hardware, software and services with Beijing-based Huawei. German chipmaker Infineon has suspended all shipments to Huawei, Nikkei Asian Review reports. Chipmakers Micron Technology and Western Digital have also stopped shipments to the Chinese manufacturer. The move comes as they review how to comply with the Commerce Department’s export ban on Huawei. The Commerce Department added Huawei Technologies and 68 non-U.S.-based affiliates to its so-called “entity list””]
