Goodbye, Symantec for Consumers; Hello NortonLifeLock

Symantec announced Monday that it will henceforth be known as NortonLifeLock Inc. The new company will now attempt to go the consumer route alone. Broadcom bought the company’s enterprise security assets and brand name in a deal worth $10.7 billion. CEO Greg Clark left the company in May after the company missed its earnings forecast. In November, the company announced an investigation into accounting irregularities after a whistleblower raised concerns.
