An unsecured database belonging to Canadian mobile operator Freedom Mobile exposed personal details and unencrypted credit card data, researchers say. The data included email addresses, home and mobile phone numbers, physical addresses, birth dates and credit card numbers. A Freedom Mobile spokesman says the company “is currently contacting affected customers, and we will provide them with a solution that best suits their needs” The company blames third-party service provider Apptium for the breach, which is “very strange” that only 15,000 customers were affected by the incident.”]
