Patrick Wardle has found ways to get inside Apple’s I/O kit, the company’s platform for writing software drivers. Wardle: “It’s just tough to write secure drivers, and a lot of the code is very, very complicated” Wardle’s research was presented last weekend at the Ruxcon security conference. Be aware that some applications, particularly security ones, may have kernel-level access, so it’s good to be judicious when considering whether to install one.”]
