Microsoft Turns Off Wi-Fi Sense After Risk Revealed

Microsoft’s Wi-Fi Sense allows Windows users to automatically connect to networks without needing login details. A security researcher has found that the feature could potentially be a helpful partner in a wireless attack. Microsoft told George Chatzisofroniou that the new technique for fooling Windows service was an acceptable risk. He presented his findings recently at the Hack in the Box conference in Amsterdam. Microsoft has acknowledged his findings but said it had no plans to use the technique for his new Wifisher tool.”]
