Australian Cryptocurrency Theft Highlights Security Mistakes

A 56-year-old Australian man saw 100,000 units of XRP, also known as Ripple, stolen from his account at an exchange. XRP peaked in mid-January right around the time the man saw the theft. The victim’s Hotmail account was linked to the exchange where he held the XRP. The XRP was then transferred to an exchange in China, where it was used to buy bitcoin. Police say they seized various electronic equipment, computers, mobile phones and documentation.”]
