AOL is investigating a breach of its network and systems that involved unauthorized access to “a significant number of user accounts” AOL users’ e-mail addresses, postal addresses, address book contact information, encrypted passwords and answers to security questions were exposed. The company says it has no indication that the encryption on the passwords or the answers to the security questions was broken. AOL did not immediately respond to a request for additional information from the company. It urges users to take proactive steps to ensure the security of their accounts.”]
