Suzanne Spaulding is nominated to be undersecretary of DHS’s National Protection and Programs Directorate. Spalding is filling the No. 2 post until the Senate confirms a successor to Jane Holl Lute, who resigned this spring. DHS is working with non-military, non-intelligence agencies to deploy continuous monitoring and diagnostics to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
