Centrelink fallout: Suspect a DDoS attack? Double-check before you cry foul

The Australian government has been left red-faced after admitting an alleged distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. Centrelink website crashed after being pummelled with what was later said to be up to 95,000 concurrent users. The government will have to work harder than usual to restore credibility around its Digital Transformation Strategy 2018-2025. It is pegged on becoming a world-leading digital government by 2025.
