This is Rogue AntiVirus, a program that uses the name MacKeeper, which also is malware. The scam was created by a company called ZoomSupport. The company used the name “MacKeeper” for a one-time fix for $200. The author says he paid $200 to remove adware from his new Mac and was angry with Apple and Norton. He says he’s never been scammed or picked up any virus; he’s not proud but wants to share his story.”]
