Researchers steal data from a PC by controllng the noise from the fans

Researchers in Israel have found a way to hijack air-gapped computers by hijacking their fans. The malware can send data over audio waves generated by the computers fans. Once infected, the malware can transmit any stolen data in the form of ultrasonic signals. The researchers tested their malware using a Dell desktop and a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone. Only up to 15 bits per minute can be transmitted, but it’s enough to send off password and encryption keys, the researchers say.”]
