Attackers hack Linux Mint website to add ISO with backdoor

Linux Mint’s Cinnamon edition was hacked with a ‘backdoor’ in the Linux Mint website. Linux Mint team shut down its server, searched for the source of the second intrusion, shut down the server and closed the holes the attackers exploited to gain access to the site. The Linux Mint forums configuration file was sold on the dark web for $85 on a dark web marketplace. Security experts say the attackers must be noobs, and asking a mere $85 for the forum’s database shows a lack of vision.”]
