Apple updated its privacy policy on Tuesday with a fresh explanation of what it means. The update comes just a day after Microsoft reexplained its policy on privacy. Both companies say they do not read your email in order to target advertising. Apple and Microsoft admit to collecting information about users’ software, but go to town on how it does it protect privacy. If companies want to allay customers’ fears of the cloud, they are going to have to follow Apple in making their data collection much less opaque.”]
