AT&T’s data breach settlement called a ‘slap on the wrist’

AT&T suffered data breaches involving mobile customers’ personal information at three overseas call centers. The $25 million settlement with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission amounts to a “slap on the wrist,” expert says. Other companies reporting data breaches, including Target and Sony Pictures, haven’t seen their stock prices fall significantly, he says.
