The OpenSSL bug is a weakness specific to the OpenSSL library. It could lead to theft of data in transit that would otherwise be secured from prying eyes. Affected users should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.0.1g. Users unable to immediately upgrade can alternatively recompile OpenSSL with -DOPENSSL_NO_HEARTBEATS. The bug was discovered by Neel Mehta of Google Security for discovering this bug. So get your patch on and as Akamai CSIRT Director Michael Smith said, “Keep calm and crypto on””]
