An inter-agency team has been developing a Proposed Security Assessment and Authorization for U.S. Government Cloud Computing. The document provides useful guidance for private businesses as to what the government considers best security practices for cloud computing providers. Businesses should spend some time familiarizing themselves with the assessment to better plan their own diligence for potential cloud engagements. The assessment cannot be implemented in every, or even most, cloud engagements, but businesses should pick and choose elements relevant to their operations and incorporate them into their own processes.”]
