The 2013 Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR) from Verizon found an increase in state affiliated attacks over past reports. Data breaches have taken place across the spectrum of organisations, from the “one man business operating from the bedroom right through to enterprises” The security community is adopting an “assume you’ve been breached” mentality, according to the report.
