Oxford University briefly blocks Google Docs in anti-phishing effort

Oxford University blocked Google Docs after a wave of phishing attacks on its academic networks. The university removed the blockage after about two and a half hours, a university official says. Phishing attacks stem from form pages embedded in spam mails, which can be used to send out information. Security expert: “Google’s persistent failures to put a halt to criminal abuse of their systems in a timely manner is having severe consequences for us and for many other institutions” Google says it “actively works to protect our users from phishing attempts””]
