“Adware Doctor” is the Mac App Store No. 1 paid utility and the 4th most popular paid app on the store. It’s designed to prevent “malware and malicious files from infecting your Mac” A security researcher found the app surreptitiously collects users’ browsing history and sends it to a server in China. Even after Apple was warned a month ago, the company did not take any action against the app. Apple finally removed Adware Doctor from the store, along with developer’s other app “AdBlock Master”
