Privacy Commissioner Clears Sony Over PSN Hack

The Australian Privacy Commissioner said SCE Australia should have acted more quickly to notify affected customers of the data breach. The delay may have increased the risk of a misuse of personal information. As many as 100 million users of the PlayStation system were affected by the attack. The Privacy Commissioner was also satisfied with how Sony Australia implemented additional security measures to help protect personal information following the attack on the network.
