Many browsers run insecure plug-ins, analysis finds

Adobe Flash, Quicktime, Shockwave and Windows Media Player among most vulnerable plug-ins. Java, Adobe Reader and PDF Reader among the most vulnerable utilities. Around 80 percent of browser-related security flaws lie with plug-in, says Qualys CTO Wolfgang Kandek. Google Chrome and mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS are superior, says Kandek, CTO of Qualys.
