Sony PlayStation outage: DDoS not to blame

The shutdown of Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) has reached its third day with the company’s best explanation as to the cause remaining yesterday’s mention of “external intrusion” The disruption also goes well beyond the PSN, to affect the Qriocity media-streaming service, accessed through Sony TVs, Blu-ray players and PCs.
