Council loses USB stick used to store security codes

Leicester City Council has lost a USB stick containing personal data on 4,000 people in the city. The drive was last seen on Friday 4 March and reported as missing the following Tuesday. The council is now in the process of changing the codes on the stick to prevent it falling into the wrong hands. Last month, Cambridgeshire County Council lost a similar stick containing data on vulnerable adults in a similar way. The small physical size and undemanding nature of USB sticks makes them easy to lose.”]
