Teradata said Thursday it plans to buy data warehousing startup Aster Data Systems. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter. Teradata had already acquired an 11 percent stake in Aster Data last year. Last year, it scooped up integrated marketing software vendor Aprimo for $525 million.
