IBM to secure e-health records

IBM Australia has been awarded another major Australian e-health tender. The $23.6 million contract was awarded by the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) The platform will be used in the Federal Government’s $467 million personally controlled electronic health records initiative. The National Authentication Service for Health (NASH) is expected to provide verified security credentials to some 600,000 healthcare professionals in Australia as a precursor to sharing and upload information to patients who opt in to use the electronic health record, to be launched in July next year.”]
