Facebook says prosecution of billion-dollar spammer not over

Spammer Adam Guerbuez was ordered to pay Facebook CDN$1 billion last week for spamming. Facebook says he’s declared bankruptcy and is looking for book or movie deals. Facebook’s chief security officer declines to comment on possible criminal charges against Guerbuz. Anti-Phishing Working Group’s Peter Cassidy says law enforcement unlikely to pursue criminal charges. Last year, Facebook secured a similar US$711 million judgment against a spammer against a similar spammer, Sanford Wallace.”]
