Feds’ Security Move: Reduce ‘Net Connections

The number of connections to the Internet has been reduced from 4,300 to just over 2,000. The goal is to make it easier to monitor the Internet security of government systems. The plan is to have a small group of TIC providers to manage the connections. The remaining connections are expected to be managed by a total of 72, according to the OMB, which is expected to last until the end of the year. The OMB is working on the plan to reduce the number of threats to U.S. citizens.”]
