Computer Sweden: Police Arrest Seven for Attack on Swedish Bank Computer

A remote controlled device designed to manipulate the bank computing system was sneaked into a bank office in Sweden and hidden there. Attackers were about to transfer several million Swedish krona (hundreds of thousands of US dollars) from one of the banks accounts. A bank employee discovered the attempt at the very last minute, as a bank employee pulled the power plug. Seven people were arrested earlier this week, suspected of attempted fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud. The hardware used in the attack was based on standard equipment available in regular stores, police sources said.”]
