Biometrics: In the Eye of the Holder

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is working on accuracy of biometrics. The federal government will be the number-one consumer of biometric technologies in the next few years. The agency is already using biometric smart cards for building access. The Driver’s License Modernization Act is the closest the general public has come to the possibility of mandated biometric licenses. Congress is scheduled to review the initial reports from NIST’s initial reports on biometric biometics.”]
