Federal authorities have indicted six Chinese nationals for economic espionage and theft of trade secrets. The U.S. government has complained at the highest levels to the Chinese government about the theft by the Chinese of intellectual property from American companies, an accusation that the Chinese generally dismiss. If convicted, each of the defendants could be sentenced to decades in prison and fined hundreds of thousands of dollars. The government alleges the stolen trade secrets belong to Skyworks Solutions and Avago Technologies, where trade secrets were allegedly pilfered.”]
