Roger Stone Jr., a longtime political adviser to President Donald Trump, was arrested Friday morning in Florida. A seven-count indictment returned by a District of Columbia grand jury on Thursday charges Stone with obstruction of justice, witness tampering and five counts of making false statements. Stone, a political operative who has worked on a number of Republican campaigns – from Richard Nixon to Donald Trump’s – was arrested in Fort Lauderdale and appeared in court later on Friday and was released on a $250,000 bond.
