NIST Issues Draft Guidance for Wireless Infusion Pumps

National Institute of Standards and Technology issues draft guidance for wireless infusion pumps. Wireless infusion pumps pose both data security and patient safety risks. NIST: As internet of medical things grows, cybersecurity risks have risen. The new guidance was prepared by NIST’s NCCoE with collaboration from several medical device makers, including Hospira, Baxter Healthcare and Becton, Dickinson and Co., among others. The guidance is accepting public comments on the draft until July 7, when public comments are being made.”]
