Becton Dickinson and U.S. federal regulators have issued security alerts about vulnerabilities in certain BD Alaris Gateway Workstations. The vulnerabilities involve improper access control and unrestricted dangerous file upload during firmware updates, the alerts note. The largest concentration of the affected devices are in Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain. A BD spokesman tells ISMG that there is no evidence that the vulnerabilities have been exploited. The vast majority of BD infusion products are not affected by this disclosure.”]
