The free and popular BitTorrent client Transmission was infected with ransomware, yet again. The software allows people to download movies, games, and other files through torrents. It’s not clear how many people may have downloaded the infected file. This is the second time this has happened in the past six months. The ransomware can be removed using these steps at the Transmission website and is moving its website and files for download over to Github. It appears the attackers gained unauthorized access to their website server on Aug. 28.”]
