Microsoft has responded to a complaint filed by Kaspersky Labs, which accused the OS maker of using its dominant market position to push its antivirus Windows Defender on Windows 10 users. Microsoft hints that 95% of Windows 10 PCs run a third-party antivirus application that is compatible with the Windows 10 Creators Update, released earlier in April. Microsoft alludes that it is entitled to disable incompatible AVs and turn Windows Defender, as this protects users from both security threats and OS crashes.
